He is also involved in news and sports reporting, contributing to kdsj980.com, commercial/public service announcement production, sports play by play for several area high schools, and an on-air shift weekdays 12 pm to 5 pm. Cody's hobbies include following his beloved Colorado Rockies, deejaying weddings, and drinking cold beverages by the pool.

RYAN R. REIDER (WEBMASTER-ADMINISTRATOR/FULL TIME ANNOUNCER)-Ryan is originally from Woonsocket and got his start in radio at KDSJ as a part time announcer during his junior year at Spearfish High School in May 1994. In December 1995 he left KDSJ and moved to Wessington Springs with his parents. In April 1996, he began as a part time announcer at KORN/KQRN in Mitchell where he was shortly promoted to KQRN's Program Director. In January 2000, he moved to Sioux Falls and held positions in retail management, accounting, sales, and assisting administration. In May 2005, looking to get back to his radio roots, he rejoined the KDSJ staff as Program Director. In June 2008 he handed over the KDSJ Program Director reins to Cody Oliver and accepted a management position at a resort in Custer. In November 2008, missing his radio home, radio family, and the Northern Black Hills, he came back to KDSJ where he now maintains and administers kdsj980.com, does news and sports reporting, engineers nearly all live sports broadcasts, maintains KDSJ's computer systems and network, produces commercials and public service announcements, and does an on-air shift weekdays from 5 pm to 10 pm. Ryan's hobbies include cooking, watching and collecting movies, writing, reading everything he can lay his eyes on, and playing video games on his XBox 360.

ZACH STARTZ (PART TIME ANNOUNCER)-Zach was born in the Chicagoland area and moved to the Black Hills with his family as a young boy. Growing up, Zach split his time between Deadwood and the suburbs of Chicago. After finishing his first year of college in Sugar Grove, Illinois in 2008, he came back for his final year of Legion Baseball for Post 31 in Deadwood, helping win the first Region 7B title in team history. That summer, he met Cody Oliver while Cody was calling one of the Post 31 games for KDSJ. With no future in playing sports, Zach continued to pursue his passion for sports and took the opportunity to join the KDSJ staff as a part time on air and play by play announcer where he has become the voice for Northern Hills baseball since 2009.
