Dani Bellet continued her individual dominance and helped the Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team complete yet another successful season and continue its own dominant stretch.
Bellet was awarded her third straight Great Plains Athletic Conference Women's Golfer-of-the-Year award. She won 11 of the 14 tournaments she competed in and finishing in the top six in all 14 tournaments, including the OCU Stars Fall Classic, which featured some of the best women's golf teams in the NAIA. As a junior this season, Bellet set school records for 18-hole individual score when she shot a three-under 69 at the Palace City Classic at Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell. She also set the 36-hole individual score record with a 146 at the same tournament. Bellet was named the GPAC Women's Golfer-of-the-Week seven times and she won three of the four league qualifiers. In three seasons with the Tigers, Bellet, a Lead, South Dakota, native, has won 23 tournaments and earned 15 GPAC golfer-of-the-week awards to go along with her three golfer-of-the-year honors.
