The Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP) is proud to announce a third record breaking year in a row for 2019. Total passengers were 705,128, which is a 12.7% increase over our previous record year in 2018 of 625,918 passengers.
Passenger enplanements (total number of passengers boarding the aircraft at RAP) also increased by 12.9%, going from 310,810 enplanements in 2018, to 350,972 in 2019. The addition of new routes to Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco contributed to the historic year.
“Air Service to the Black Hills region is extremely important to our economy, tourism and economic development. We would like to thank all of our customers for helping to make this record monumental. We can’t achieve records like these without the hard work and dedication of Airport and Airport Tenant Staff, without them none of this would be possible” said Airport Executive Director Patrick Dame.
