The City of Spearfish has issued a No Travel Allowed order until further notice.
The city says most areas of the community are impassable due to snow accumulations and drifting, with conditions forecast to continue or worsen through the day today, Wednesday, Decemer 14, 2022.
The order means the roads are closed and only emergency vehicles and snow contractors are allowed to be out.
If you are out on the roads in the City of Spearfish, you are subject to being ticketed.
In issuing the order, the city urged residents to stay home and to not become an obstacle snow removal operators and emergency responders have to deal with.
The city will evaluate and update as the day progresses.
