Our topic for January 5th is a novel having a character with your first name. There will be no list, but you find a novel by googling: “character in a novel with the name (your first name). I found that The Wizard of Oz, by Frank Baum is my best bet. Fortunately, I have never read it, so I can test a theory of mine. I’ve maintained for many years that the novel is always better than the movie. If you have a problem finding something in this category to read, you may substitute a novel you enjoyed.
Armchair Travelers is a book club celebrating its 10th year in the fall of 2023, open to all interested readers, who may attend in person or simply participate by email. We meet on the first Thursday of every month at noon in the Lushbough Room of the Sturgis Public Library to discuss books on the theme.
