A Rapid City billboard is advocating pulling U.S. funding for Ukraine in its battle against Russian invaders. The billboard says Defund Ukraine and went up last week in downtown Rapid City on Fifth and Omaha streets. The billboard is sponsored by retired Air Force officer Tim Torpey, who believes the U.S. shouldn’t be sending money to Ukraine. Torpey says the money would be better spent on economic issues within the U.S. Torpey says the location of the billboard was chosen because of its proximity to Senator Mike Rounds’ office.
