South Dakota is seeing one of the biggest jumps in home-schooled students in the U.S. An analysis from “The Washington Post” compared enrollment numbers from 2017-2018 to 2022-2023 in 30 states. South Dakota saw a 94-percent increase in home-schooled students, which is the third highest. The District of Columbia reported the highest increase in students who home school at 108 percent.
