The annual urban deer harvest is here. The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department recommend the harvesting of 250 deer in the city limits for the sixth consecutive year. Rapid City Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Biegler says the purpose of the harvest is to minimize the number of deer-vehicular incidents. Biegler also wants to remind the public that the harvest won’t start until after the holidays.
