Beginning Tuesday, November 19, 2024, RCS Construction, Inc. of Rapid City, the City of Spearfish’s contractor for the East Low Zone Water System Improvements Project, will close East Colorado Boulevard east of Aurora Avenue. This closure is necessary to complete construction of a new water main underneath Colorado Boulevard at Aurora Avenue. The closure will be in place for approximately three days until the work is complete.
During this closure, through traffic on East Colorado Boulevard will be detoured to Interstate 90 between Exits 14 and 17. Any traffic needing to access locations between Exit 14 and Exit 17 should use Exit 14 until work is complete. Local traffic may detour through the Sky Ridge neighborhood.
