Here’s some good news for people hitting the road for the holiday season. Gas prices keep falling.
The national average for a gallon of regular is now $3.14, according to AAA.
That’s down 54 cents from last month and a low not seen since July 2021.
Analysts at GasBuddy say the national average could once again dip below $3 a gallon by Christmas Eve. AAA says 21 states are already there.
Experts say some of the factors for the downward trend in price are recession fears and soft demand.
