Black Hills State football has announced its 2023 slate for the upcoming fall season, which includes five home games and the 138th Black Hills Brawl in Spearfish.
The Yellow Jackets will open the season on Sept. 2 with Division I opponent St. Thomas for the first time in program history, before wrapping up non-conference play on Sept. 9 at Southwest Baptist at 11 a.m. MT.
BHSU opens its RMAC schedule on Sept. 16 at 6 p.m., hosting Chadron State before hitting the road to take on Colorado Mesa on Sept. 23.
The final game of September will be on the 30th as the Yellow Jackets host rival South Dakota Mines in the 138th Black Hills Brawl at 6 p.m. The team will remain home the following week, hosting New Mexico Highlands on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m.
The team hits the road again to take on Western Colorado on Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. before hosting 2022 DII National Runner-Up Colorado Mines on Oct. 21 at 1 p.m.
On Oct. 28, BHSU will head down to Fort Lewis before hosting Adams State in the team’s final home game of the season on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m.
Football’s regular season schedule will wrap up on the road on Nov. 11 against CSU Pueblo.
