Black Hills State University volleyball has announced their schedule for the upcoming 2023 season, which features a 26-matchup slate and includes 13 home games.
The 2023 schedule also includes eight non-conference bouts and 18 RMAC contests.
To kick off 2023, BHSU hits the road for the Yellowjacket Invitational, hosted by MSU-Billings, for four non-conference matchups. They will open their tournament appearance with a pair of games on Friday, Sept. 1 against Lubbock Christian and Southeastern Oklahoma State.
BHSU will then play their second leg of the tournament on Saturday, Sept. 2 with another pair of contests against Minot State and UMary.
On the following weekend, the Yellow Jackets will come back to the Donald E. Young Center to host the three-day Yellow Jacket Classic, opening the tournament on Thursday, Sept. 7 against Northern State.
Day two, Friday, Sept. 8, will see the ladies suit up for a pair of games against MSU-Billings and UMary, respectively, before closing out the tournament and their non-conference play with a matchup against Texas A&M Kingsville on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Friday, Sept. 15 and Saturday, Sept. 16 marks the opening weekend of the RMAC regular season as the Yellow Jackets will start on the road against UC-Colorado Springs and Regis, respectively.
Volleyball will then return to the Young Center to play host to CSU Pueblo on Friday, Sept. 22 before squaring off against Adams State on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The ladies will hit the road following their opening home weekend for a four-game stretch on the road, with their first stop taking them to Chadron for a pair of games against South Dakota Mines on Friday, Sept. 29 and the hosting Chadron State on Saturday, Sept. 30.
BHSU will then wrap up their long road trip against Fort Lewis and Western Colorado on Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7, respectively.
At the mid-season point, the Yellow Jackets will play host to three more starting on Friday, Oct. 13 against Metro State and Saturday, Oct. 14 against Colorado Mines.
Two midweek games will follow as South Dakota Mines will come to town on Tuesday, Oct. 17 before the Yellow Jackets head south to dance with New Mexico Highlands on Friday, Oct. 20.
Heading into the latter portion of the regular season, BHSU will host their final home games of 2023 in two consecutive weekends, starting on Thursday, Oct. 26 against Western Colorado and Saturday, Oct. 28 in a contest with Westminster.
Volleyball will then wrap up their home slate with a Friday matchup against Chadron State on Nov. 3 and a Saturday duel with Colorado Christian on Nov. 4.
On the final weekend of regular season volleyball, the Yellow Jackets will head out on Friday, Nov. 10 to take on Colorado Mesa before locking horns with Westminster in Utah on Saturday, Nov. 11 to close out 2023.
Not trailing far behind will be the 2023 RMAC post-season tournament, with quarter-final matchups on deck for Tuesday, Nov. 14.
