Meade County authorities have arrested a Piedmont man for having sexual contact with a child.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Office says 61-year-old Robin Lemme was arrested for sexual contact with a child under the age of 16. He was also arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor. Both charges are felonies.
Authorities say Lemme is a registered sex offender who was current with his required registrations in Meade County.
The Meade County Sherrif’s Office says they were unable to comment any further regarding the details of the investigation that led to the arrest of Lemme in an effort to protect the juvenile involved.
The sheriff’s office, although, did urge all parents to monitor and be aware of your children’s social media presence, saying “there are numerous apps and opportunities for children to be exploited by predators wishing to harm our children.”
Lemme was previously convicted in federal court for possession of child pornography. The victim, in that case, was a 10-year-old boy.
