South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley wants Congress to take action on AM radios. In a letter to the Electric Drive Transportation Association and the Zero Emission Transportation Association, Jackley said eliminating AM radios in new vehicles would be detrimental to rural areas where AM stations may be the only reception available. He said many people rely on AM radio for their severe weather updates and emergency information. Jackley joined 16 other states in encouraging Congress to pass legislation to keep AM radios in new vehicles.
