Governor Kristi Noem is making moves to address the medication shortage problem in South Dakota. On Wednesday, the second-term governor announced the Department of Health will grow medication stockpiles from two to seven cities. Aberdeen, Mobridge, Hot Springs, Pierre, and Yankton are now locations, joining Sioux Falls and Rapid City. All will have new medications and antibiotics. Noem says she wants the state to be better prepared during winter months when respiratory illnesses increase after major challenges with supply last year.
