Feeding South Dakota is gearing up for Thanksgiving, its biggest time of the year. The nonprofit is planning on giving away six-thousand traditional Thanksgiving meals. For an event like this, Feeding South Dakota needs roughly 250 volunteers. 15-hundred meals will be handed out in both Rapid City and Sioux Falls areas on Saturday, November 18th, starting at 8 a.m. at the fairgrounds in both cities. Those will be a first-come, first-serve drive-through style pickup.
