A South Dakota teacher is returning home after the run of a lifetime. Hill City third grade teacher and middle school track coach Brady Chase completed this year’s Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15, 2024. His inspiration came from his students, who have also taken a keen interest in the sport. Brady first qualified for Boston at the Mickelson Trail Marathon in Deadwood. He set a goal of two hours and 45 minutes for the race and successfully crossed the finish line with an impressive final time of two hours and 43 minutes.
