The 24th Annual Spearfish 4th of July Parade will be held Thursday, July 4th at 12:15 p.m. with a B-1 Bomber Flyover to start the parade. This year’s parade is sponsored by the City of Spearfish, Spearfish Chamber of Commerce, and Visit Spearfish.
The parade committee is pleased to announce that Jared “Cappie” Capp will be honored as the Parade Marshall for the 24th Annual Spearfish 4th of July Parade. Joining Cappie in the parade will be his wife, Rachel Headley.
Cappie was born and raised in Spearfish. SD and was encouraged to have a spirit of service from a young age. His tenacity, creativity, and community-mindedness helped him build Pangea Design Group, a truly unique, “build your dreams come true” construction business. With Pangea Design Group, Cappie and crew supported many families in the area by breathing life into their wild visions. Beyond that, Pangea has collaborated on and completed projects like the Termesphere Tower in front of Visit Spearfish and of note recently, the upgrades to the beloved Rocketship Park. Cappie and team have collaborated with and supported many businesses in the Spearfish Area. The group brings fresh ideas to the community and approached the work with fervor and a “can do” attitude.
Most recently, Jared “Cappie” and his daughter Alex Headley have been featured on the Magnolia Network show, Building Outside the Lines. On screen the pair builds more than one of a kind structures, they reinforce a unique and utterly charming relationship. Again, this ties back to showcasing Spearfish in all its beauties.
“The desire to continue on with the event Gene & Yvonne created so many years ago is truly a community effort and I am so excited to partner with the City and Visit Spearfish for this community event,” commented Heather Giffrow, Executive Director of the Spearfish Chamber of Commerce.
The parade will line up in the high school parking lot then head south on North Avenue through downtown Spearfish, disseminating at Grant Street. We are still collecting registrations. To register for the parade or for more information, contact the Chamber at 642-2626 or CLICK HERE.
