The National High School Finals Rodeo wrapped up on Saturday, July 20, 2024 with the short-go and South Dakota was well represented this year.
Arina Haugen from Sturgis qualified for the finals in three different events and was named the All-Around Rookie Cowgirl.
In the team standings, South Dakota finished sixth in the boys standings with 3,215 points and the girls finished 13th with 1,580 points. Overall, South Dakota placed ninth with 4,795 points.
