Black Hills State University and head coach Glen Lammers announced the fall portion of the 2024-25 Yellow Jacket rodeo schedule. The slate will feature six rodeos as part of the Great Plains Region in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA).
Kicking off the season will be the first of four rodeos during the month of September, the Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo hosted at the University of Wisconsin River Falls Lab Farm 1 by UWRF from September 6-7. Next the Yellow Jackets will travel south to Nebraska for a pair of competitions hosted by Mid-Plains Community College at Wild West Arena in North Platte, Nebraska. Rodeo #1 for the Mid-Plains College Stampede Rodeo will be September 12-13, while Rodeo #2 will be September 13-14. The opening month of the year ends in Dickinson, North Dakota, at the Blue Hawk Stampede hosted by Dickinson State University from September 27-28 at the Stark County Fairgrounds & Events Park.
The Triton Stampede hosted by Iowa Central Community College from October 4-5 at the Webster County Fairgrounds in Fort Dodge, Iowa, will precede the final rodeo of the fall, the Bison Stampede, which will be hosted by North Dakota State University from October 25-26 at the NDSU Equine Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
