The Black Hills State University women’s golf team and head coach Randy Doran announced the fall portion of their 2024-2025 schedule on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. The upcoming slate will feature five tournaments during the first half of the season, including a home event at the Spearfish Canyon Golf Course.
The season gets underway early in September as the team travels to Broomfield, Colorado, and The Broadlands Golf Course for the Swan Memorial, hosted by Colorado Christian on September 9-10. The Yellow Jackets then return to the Black Hills for back-to-back tournaments, starting with the Hardrocker Fall Invite hosted by South Dakota Mines at The Golf Club at Red Rock in Rapid City, South Dakota on September 16-17. BHSU’s home meet, the Black Hills State Classic, will follow on September 23-24 at the Spearfish Canyon Golf Course in Spearfish, South Dakota. This year’s home event will be the largest field in tournament history, as five opponents will compete with BHSU on the course, including Central Wyoming, Dakota Wesleyan, UMary, MSU Billings, and South Dakota Mines.
The first half of the season will end in early October as Black Hills State will make a pair of trips north, beginning with the Marauder Golf Invite, hosted by UMary on September 30-October1 at the Hawktree Golf Club in Bismark, North Dakota. The final meet of the fall will be two weeks later when they travel to the Yellowjacket Fall Invite in Billings, Montana, hosted by MSU Billings at the Lake Hills Golf Club on October 14-15.
All tournaments will consist of 36-holes with everyone playing 18-holes on each day of the event. The Swan Memorial, Marauder Golf Invite, and the Yellowjacket Fall Invite will each be a 9 a.m. shotgun start time for each round, while the Hardrocker Fall Invite and the Black Hills State Classic will both be tee time starts with times announced leading up to each tournament.
