The Lead-Deadwood Lady Golddiggers (8-16) will travel to face the New Underwood Lady Tigers (7-15) this evening in an interclass volleyball matchup, with first serve scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
This marks the second meeting between the teams this month. Lead-Deadwood claimed a 2-0 victory in their October 4 tournament matchup, but has since dropped three consecutive matches. Under third-year head coach Ashley Oyen, the Golddiggers have already surpassed last season’s win total and hold a 5-2 record against Class B opponents.
New Underwood, led by a youthful roster featuring just one senior and three juniors, is 3-2 against Class A teams this season. Middle hitter Jocelyn Fulton, standing at 6’2”, anchors the Tigers’ front line.
Lead-Deadwood holds a 5-4 edge in the series since 2022 and has won the last five meetings. Tonight, they aim to extend that streak to six on the road.
