McRae had 15 with three three-pointers as the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets were able to keep rolling as they took down the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines 62-50 in a game where BHSU never trailed and the lead was rarely less than ten. The Yellow Jackets took a late run in the first and a dominant second quarter to build a 14-point lead going into halftime and never let up. Holding a good three-point shooting Orediggers team to 15.1 percent from deep and 35.1 percent from the field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- BHSU started the game on a 6-0 run with Brinlee McRae, Taylin Serlen, and Sawyer Stoebner each hitting layups. Mines answered with a 7-2 run to cut the lead to one with an Olivia Campbell three pointer. BHSU immediately scored the next nine points starting with an Emily Cooper three and including two jumpers by Alli Glasscock. CSM made four of the next six points to send it to the second quarter with BHSU up 19-11.
- It took 3:10 for the first points of the quarter to be scored on a Glasscock jumper that turned into a 9-0 run with McRae hitting a three and a jumper and Audrey Norville adding a hook shot to put BHSU up 28-11. Sofia Baldessari made her first points of the game with a jumper and Emily Cooper answered with a three to put BHSU up 31-13. CSM ended the half on a 6-2 run with a three and a three-point play to make it 33-19 heading into the halftime break.
- Halftime leaders for the Yellow Jackets included Alli Glasscock, who already had ten points and five rebounds in the first half. Brinlee McRae had seven points, Cooper had six points, and Bradie Schlabs had five assists. For Mines, Baldessari has been the star with eight points and seven rebounds, no one else on the team has more than four points.
- CSM started the second half on a 7-2 run to cut the lead to single digits with five of those points from Baldessari. McRae hit a three to start a 9-4 Yellow Jacket run that made the score 44-30, CSM and BHSU traded baskets before BHSU ended on a 6-0 run with another McRae three to put BHSU up 52-34 going into the final quarter.
- Colorado School of Mines started the final quarter on a 11-2 run to cut the lead to nine at 54-45. Stoebner hit a layup for BHSU’s first field goal of the quarter with 5:32 to go in the game. Baldessari answered with a three to cut it to eight, but that was the last field goal CSM had in the game as BHSU ended the game on a 6-2 run that included four free throws and a three-point play by Norville.
