Coaches from Sturgis and Hot Springs were among those recognized this weekend by the South Dakota Wrestling Coaches Association during the State AAU Wrestling Tournament in Sioux Falls.
Sturgis head coach Mike Abell was named Boys Region 4A Coach of the Year, while Hot Springs coach Ray Ringstmeyer earned Boys Region 4B Coach of the Year honors. Both were selected for their leadership, program development, and contributions to youth and high school wrestling in their regions.
The SDWCA presented its annual awards during the tournament, recognizing standout coaches, athletes, and contributors from across the state.

- Mike Long of Sioux Falls Lincoln was selected Assistant Coach of the Year.
- Kraig Pressler of Brandon Valley received Middle School Coach of the Year.
