
Spearfish senior Kamren Davis turned in a pair of solid performances Saturday as the Class AA boys swept both games at the annual 3‑Class Shootout.
Class AA opened the event with a 127–110 win over Class A, followed by a 124–117 victory over Class B.
Davis scored 14 points in the first game, contributing to a balanced AA offense led by Lincoln’s Sam Ericsson with 24 points and Roosevelt’s Justin Bilal with 22. AA MVP Sam DeGroot of Lincoln and Mitchell’s Colton Smith each added 15.
In the second matchup, Davis added 10 points as DeGroot powered Class AA with 32 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Bilal finished with 17, while Ayuel Deng and Crayton Jibben each scored 14.
Class A was led by Vermillion’s Trey Hanson, the Class A MVP, who posted 32 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Class B MVP Holden Wollmann of Bridgewater‑Emery scored 20 points with six assists in the final game.
Deng also won the dunk contest held between the boys’ games.
Davis’ combined 24 points across both contests capped a strong showing for the Spearfish standout as he represented Class AA in the postseason showcase.
