A Rapid City man has made his initial court appearance in connection with the death of his infant son.
Thirty‑three‑year‑old Tyler Slow Bear is charged with second‑degree murder and improper disposal of a body in the death of Melinko Bagola. Authorities say police were unable to locate the child during a welfare check. Slow Bear was later questioned, and the child’s remains were found at an outdoor location he identified.
Investigators believe the infant was assaulted while under Slow Bear’s care. Bond has been set at ten million dollars cash.
