Rapid City is asking the community to get involved as it prepares for the America 250 “Real America Birthday Bash” happening July first through the fifth.
Organizers are looking for volunteers to help with a wide range of events, including a patriotic drone show, community parade, downtown festival, concerts, a 5K Freedom Run, children’s activities, and multiple fireworks celebrations.
Volunteer roles include helping with parade support, guest services, event operations, kids’ activities, entertainment, and crowd assistance.
Local businesses, churches, and community groups are encouraged to form teams, while individuals can sign up online through the Just Serve Rapid City volunteer platform.
With large crowds expected from across the Black Hills and beyond, organizers say volunteers will be key to making the celebration a success.
