Rapid City police are investigating a reported shooting on the city’s east side Saturday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched around 2:10 p.m. on June 20th to the area of East New York Street and North Lacrosse Street following reports of gunshots.
When police arrived, witnesses told them the shots had been fired from a vehicle that left the scene before officers got there. Investigators later found several shell casings nearby, along with damage to a vehicle and a home in the 500 block of East Philadelphia Street.
No injuries were reported.
The case has been turned over to Rapid City Police Criminal Investigations, and the incident remains under investigation.
