Yankton Post 12 controlled both ends of a Friday doubleheader at Black Hills Power Sports Complex, defeating Spearfish Post 164 Sr. Legion 11–0 and 9–1 behind steady pitching, disciplined at‑bats, and early scoring bursts.

Yankton opened Game 1 with two runs in the first inning, capitalizing on a fielder’s choice by Jackson Kudera and a bases‑loaded walk to Christian Weier. Two more runs came across in the second on RBI groundouts from Samuel Gokie and Easton Feser.
Yankton broke the game open with a four‑run third inning, aided by a dropped third strike, a run‑scoring double from Carter Boomsma, a walk to Beck Ryken, and a sacrifice fly from Gokie.
Spearfish starter Jack Scharf took the loss, allowing seven runs—three earned—over 2⅓ innings while striking out four. Yankton’s Kaden Hunhoff earned the win, holding Spearfish to three hits over four shutout innings.
Sean Sewell led Spearfish at the plate, finishing 2‑for‑2.
Yankton finished with six stolen bases and eight walks while playing error‑free defense.

In Game 2, Yankton again struck early, scoring once in the first on a Feser double before erupting for six runs in the second inning. The rally included two bases‑loaded walks, a hit‑by‑pitch RBI, a two‑run single from Kudera, and a groundout that brought in another run.
Spearfish scored its lone run in the third. Owen Bruner paced the offense, going 2‑for‑3.
Sewell started on the mound for Spearfish, allowing eight runs—seven earned—over four innings. Kudera threw a complete game for Yankton, giving up five hits and no earned runs while striking out five.
Yankton collected 11 hits, with multi‑hit efforts from Kudera, Gokie, Feser, and Ryken. The Bucks again played clean defense with no errors.
