Two motorcyclists were injured Sunday afternoon in a crash near Johnson Siding.
According to the Johnson Siding Volunteer Fire Department, the crash happened near the intersection of Placerville Road and Highway 44 West.
Officials say the riders encountered several turkeys in the roadway and were forced to lay their bikes down to avoid them.
Both individuals were injured in the incident and were transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
No word yet on the extent of their injuries.
