Former Spearfish Sasquatch standout Charles McAdoo has wrapped up his first stint in the major league after appearing in eight games with the Toronto Blue Jays. His final MLB appearance came June 19 in Toronto’s 16–2 loss to the Chicago Cubs, where he entered as a defensive substitute and popped out in his only at‑bat.
McAdoo finished his time in the majors hitting .160, going 4‑for‑25 with three singles, one home run, and three runs batted in. Toronto optioned him to the Triple‑A Buffalo Bisons on June 21, where he’s already played seven games. With Buffalo, he’s hitting .269 with seven hits, including a double and a home run, along with four RBIs and five runs scored.
Despite the move, McAdoo remains on the Blue Jays’ 40‑man roster, which includes active players, those on injury or leave lists, and select minor leaguers.
McAdoo made an impressive MLB debut on May 29, hitting a two‑run homer to help Toronto rally past Baltimore. He added hits in games on May 31, June 4, and June 13.
McAdoo played for the Spearfish Sasquatch in 2021, earning team and Expedition League MVP honors. He is the first Sasquatch player ever to reach the major leagues, marking a milestone for the program.
