The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the 2023 killing of a Pine Ridge Reservation resident.
Authorities say 73-year-old Patrick Carlow Senior was found dead inside his home near Oglala on May 19, 2023. Investigators determined the death was a homicide and believe the killing likely occurred overnight.
According to the FBI, there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Investigators believe the person or persons responsible may have known Carlow and were familiar with the layout of his home.
In a statement, FBI Minneapolis Special Agent in Charge Christopher Dotson said even a single tip could help bring answers to Carlow’s family and move the case toward justice.
The reward is part of the FBI’s broader efforts to address unresolved violent crimes in Tribal communities through initiatives known as Operation Steadfast Promise and Operation Not Forgotten.
Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the FBI at 800-CALL-FBI or submit a tip through the agency’s online tip portal.
Authorities hope the reward will generate new leads in the ongoing investigation into Carlow’s death
