Rapid City Police are investigating an unattended death after officers were called to a residence on Campbell Street early Sunday morning.
Police say they responded to the 1400 block of Campbell Street around 6:30 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive woman. When officers arrived, they found the woman deceased.
According to investigators, there were no obvious signs of trauma or serious injury that would explain the death. An autopsy has been scheduled to help determine the cause.
The woman’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.
