A Deadwood Trolley caught fire Wednesday morning along Interstate 90 near Sturgis, prompting a response from emergency crews in Meade County.
According to witnesses, along with photos and video shared by the South Dakota Department of Transportation, the fire broke out shortly before 11 a.m.
The trolley was pulled to the side of the interstate, where flames spread to grass in a nearby ditch before firefighters were able to contain the blaze.
Officials have not yet released information on what caused the fire. It is also unclear how many people were on board at the time or whether any injuries were reported.
Authorities are continuing to gather information, and additional details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
