Two Rapid City men have been arrested following a stabbing late Wednesday night in downtown Rapid City.
Police were called to the 400 block of Mount Rushmore Road at about 11:25 p.m. after receiving a report that a person had been stabbed.
When officers arrived, they located the victim, who was suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
According to police, the stabbing occurred in the 500 block of Mount Rushmore Road after a verbal disturbance involving several people.
Witnesses provided descriptions of two suspects, and officers later located two men matching those descriptions in an alley north of the 900 block of Main Street.
The suspects were identified as 21-year-old Jacorey Vega and 22-year-old Ross Cloud Man Junior, both of Rapid City.
Police say witnesses positively identified the pair as being involved in the incident.
Ross Cloud Man Jr. was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Assault, while Jacorey Vega was arrested for Accessory to Aggravated Assault.
Both men were taken to the Pennington County Jail.
