HOT SPRINGS, S.D. — The Hot Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager who was last seen Saturday evening.
According to police, 16-year-old Deren Pershall was last seen leaving the Angostura Dam area at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday.
Pershall is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 131 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and black-and-white Nike shoes.
Authorities said Pershall’s cell phone has been turned off since his disappearance. Investigators were able to locate his vehicle, but his current whereabouts remain unknown.

Police continue to investigate and are asking residents to remain alert and report any potential sightings immediately.
