BOX ELDER, S.D. – A Box Elder man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say he caused a disturbance in downtown Rapid City.
Officers were called to the area of City Hall on Sixth Street after reports of a man yelling racial slurs and shouting at elderly passengers getting off a bus nearby.
Police identified the man as 32-year-old Greyson Woodworth of Box Elder. Officers say they located Woodworth near Sixth and Quincy streets, where he was allegedly continuing to yell at people.
When police attempted to contact him, Woodworth reportedly ran from officers but was caught a short time later.
He was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Obstruction and transported to the Pennington County Jail. Police say several citizens’ arrest forms were also submitted in connection with the incident.
