RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City man is facing a felony vandalism charge after police say he broke a business window with a rock Monday night.
Rapid City Police were dispatched around 8:40 p.m. to a business at 1302 East Saint Patrick Street following a report of property damage.
According to police, surveillance video showed a man throwing a rock through a window. Officers reviewed the footage and identified the suspect as 28-year-old Dominic High Hawk, whom they had contacted earlier that evening during an unrelated, non-criminal call.
Police later located High Hawk at his residence and took him into custody without incident.
He was arrested on a charge of felony vandalism and transported to the Pennington County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
