BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The Belle Fourche Broncs were overpowered Friday night, falling 56-6 to third-ranked Lennox Orioles on Senior Night.
Lennox entered the game as one of the top teams in Class 11A and showed why, handing the Broncs their sixth consecutive home loss dating back to last season.
The defeat drops Belle Fourche to 1-and-7 on the year. Meanwhile, Lennox improved to 6-1, winning for the sixth time in its last seven games.
Despite the loss, the Broncs will have little time to dwell on it as they prepare for their regular-season finale on the road. Belle Fourche will travel to Custer (0-8) for a Thursday night matchup scheduled for 6 p.m.
The Broncs will be looking to end the season on a positive note and build momentum heading into the offseason.
