BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – Families in the Northern Hills are invited to celebrate Halloween early this weekend as Belle Fourche’s 10th Annual Pumpkinfest takes place Saturday.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tri-State Museum and Visitor Center in Belle Fourche.
This year’s Pumpkinfest will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including games, crafts, a bouncy house, and rides on the Pumpkin Train, weather permitting. Visitors can also explore the haunted Spaulding Cabin, which has been transformed into “Skeletown” for the event.
The Tri-State Performers will present their family comedy, Misunderstood Monsters, at noon and again at 3 p.m.
A costume contest is scheduled for approximately 12:45 p.m., with prizes awarded for the scariest, funniest, and most original costumes.
Event organizers say all children attending will receive a goodie bag filled with candy and toys. More information is available through the Tri-State Museum in Belle Fourche.
