DEADWOOD, S.D. – A missing Rapid City man who was the subject of a public search has been found deceased.
The Rapid City Police Department says 34-year-old Adam Hughes was located dead in Lawrence County on Wednesday. Authorities say no evidence of foul play has been found in connection with his death.
Hughes had been reported missing after last being seen on October 17th in the 2400 block of Emerson Lane in Rapid City. Investigators believed he may have been traveling in a black Toyota Tacoma with dealer plates and could have been headed to the Lead-Deadwood area.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search effort.
Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of Hughes’ death. The investigation remains ongoing.
