RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police are investigating a Friday morning crash that left a young female pedestrian injured in west Rapid City.
Authorities say the girl was walking near the intersection of Summerset Drive and Stony Creek Drive shortly after 9 a.m. when she was struck by a vehicle.
She was transported by ambulance to a hospital with what police described as minor injuries.
Investigators say the driver was taken into custody on DUI charges following the crash. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
