BLACK HILLS, S.D. – Several West River teams have earned spots in the 2026 SoDak 16 volleyball round, highlighted by Class A powerhouse St. Thomas More. The Cavaliers enter as the No. 3 seed with a 30-7 record and will face No. 14 Platte-Geddes Tuesday night in Wall. Other Class A qualifiers include No. 16 Hot Springs against top-seeded Sioux Falls Christian, No. 10 Lakota Tech versus defending state champion Dakota Valley, No. 15 Todd County against No. 2 Dell Rapids, and No. 11 Winner taking on No. 6 Wagner.
In Class B, top-seeded Bennett County headlines the field with a 32-1 record and will host No. 16 Burke in an all-West River matchup. No. 6 Harding County puts its 30-win season on the line against No. 11 Parkston in Wall, while No. 12 Kadoka Area meets No. 5 Northwestern in Gettysburg. Lemmon, the No. 10 seed, faces No. 7 Gayville-Volin, and No. 15 Lyman draws second-seeded Warner. Winners advance to next week’s state volleyball tournaments.
