One Book South Dakota for 2025 is “The Cost of Free Land” by Rebecca Clarren. Kate Meadows will lead a discussion of this work in which Clarren “melds investigative reporting with personal family history to reveal the intertwined stories of her family and the Lakota.”
The books will be available to check out at the Sturgis Public Library in late July.
