Lead-Deadwood Falls To Rapid City Christian, Extends Losing Streak To 10
The losing streak continued for Lead-Deadwood last night as the Golddiggers dropped their tenth consecutive game, falling 33-10 to Rapid City Christian. The defeat drops Lead-Deadwood to 0-7 on the season, while the Comets improve to 3-4 with their second straight win, one step closer to a .500 season with two games left to go.
Both teams now prepare for road matchups this coming Friday. Lead-Deadwood will face a formidable #2 ranked St. Thomas More squad (7-0) at 6:00 p.m., with the Cavaliers’ defense allowing just 3.1 points per game this season. Rapid City Christian will travel to Custer (1-6) for another 6:00 p.m. kickoff.
Belle Fourche Rallies Past Custer For 18-14 Road Victory
The Belle Fourche Broncs secured their second win of the season Friday night, edging out the Custer Wildcats 18-14 in a hard-fought contest at the Custer Football Field.
Trailing 7-6 at halftime, the Broncs mounted a second-half comeback, outscoring the Wildcats 12-7 to seal the win and improve to 2-5 on the season. Custer drops to 1-6 with the loss.
Next Friday, Belle Fourche will travel to face winless Lakota Tech in search of a third victory. Custer will host Rapid City Christian, who enters the matchup at 3-4. Both games are scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. MT kickoff.
Harding County/Bison Cruises Past Faith With Season-High 60 Points
Harding County/Bison delivered a dominant performance last night, defeating the Faith Longhorns 60-6 on the road to notch their fifth win of the season and extend their winning streak against Faith to five straight games.
The victory marked a season-high scoring output for Harding County/Bison, who improved to 5-3 overall. Faith fell to 0-7, and their losing streak extended to 22 games. Harding County/Bison ends their regular season with a bye next week before playoffs. Faith will look to break the streak next Friday when they travel to face Lemmon/McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. The Cowboys enter the matchup on a four-game skid.
