The Spearfish Spartans (14-7) will host the Belle Fourche Lady Broncs (9-16) Tuesday night in a non-conference volleyball matchup, with first serve set for 7:00 p.m. at Spearfish High School Gym.
Spearfish enters the contest with momentum, aiming for its third consecutive win over Belle Fourche in as many seasons. The Spartans are 5-2 against Class A opponents this year and remain unbeaten against teams with losing records. Head coach Shelbie Richards, a Belle Fourche alum, is 2-2 against her former program.
Senior standout Adelyn Bouman leads the Spartans with 209 kills and 237 serve receives, while also ranking second in digs (188) and aces (33). Setter Kali Reiners has tallied 576 assists and leads the team with 35 aces.
Belle Fourche, under first-year head coach Sierra Kilts, continues to rebuild amid a string of injuries. Starters Mya Bush, Kora Knapp, and Jobie Manke are out, while sophomore Mya Nowowjeski is questionable with a wrist injury. Despite setbacks, Kilts credits her team’s resilience and looks for new contributors to step up against a strong Class AA opponent.
The match will be broadcast live on KDSJ 980 AM, 103.5 FM, and streamed on KDSJ-TV’s YouTube Page and Facebook Live via Black Hills Gold Hits.
