The Spearfish Lady Spartans (15-7) delivered a dominant performance Tuesday night, sweeping the Belle Fourche Lady Broncs (6-20) in straight sets, 25-13, 25-9, 25-13. The victory marks Spearfish’s third consecutive win over Belle Fourche and improves head coach Shelbie Richards’ record to 3-2 against her alma mater.
Senior outside hitter Adelyn Bouman led the Spartans with a double-digit kill effort and added six service aces, including five consecutive in the second set. Spearfish controlled the tempo throughout the match, showcasing a balanced offensive attack and consistent pressure from the service line.
Belle Fourche, under first-year head coach Sierra Kilts, showed flashes of defensive resilience but struggled to generate offensive momentum against the Class AA Spartans.
