The Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers (0-7) will travel to Rapid City on Friday to take on the undefeated, and #2-ranked St. Thomas More Cavaliers (7-0) in a Black Hills Conference football matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Lead-Deadwood enters the game still searching for its first win of the season after falling 33-10 to Rapid City Christian last week. The Golddiggers have allowed an average of 27 points per game this season and will look to tighten their defense against one of the region’s top teams.
St. Thomas More continued its dominant run last Friday with a 27-0 shutout over Hot Springs, marking the Cavaliers’ lowest offensive output of the season but preserving their perfect record. The Cavaliers have outscored opponents by wide margins throughout the year and handed Lead-Deadwood a 55-0 loss in their last meeting in October 2024.
The Golddiggers are 0-5 against St. Thomas More since 2015 and will aim to break that streak Friday night.
