The Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers will look to continue their recent momentum Tuesday night when they travel to face the Belle Fourche Broncs in a Black Hills Conference matchup scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Lead-Deadwood enters the contest at 4–2, having won three of its last four games, including a dominant 73–51 victory over New Underwood on Friday. The Golddiggers have scored at least 55 points in every game this season, providing a consistent offensive foundation as they attempt to improve their standing in the conference.
Belle Fourche, meanwhile, comes in at 1–6 after a 64–53 loss to Douglas on Saturday. The Broncs have dropped three straight to the Patriots and continue to search for stability after a challenging start to the season.
Historically, Belle Fourche has controlled the series, holding a 9–1 advantage over Lead-Deadwood since 2017. However, the Golddiggers won the most recent meeting between the teams, edging the Broncs 68–67 at the buzzer in last season’s thriller in Lead.
This time, Lead-Deadwood will have to attempt a repeat performance on the road.
Tuesday’s matchup offers the Golddiggers an opportunity to narrow the long-term series gap and build on their early-season success, while Belle Fourche aims to halt its skid and secure its first home win of the year.
Tipoff is slated for 6:30 pm from Belle Fourche with Cody Oliver and Claysen Davis on the call from the Monument Health Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Broadcast Booth. Coverage starts at 6:00 pm on KDSJ 980 AM, 103.5 FM, KDSJ980.com, the KDSJ Sports Mobile App, and streaming on KDSJ-TV on YouTube and Facebook.
