Huron defeated Spearfish 45–34 on Friday night behind a dominant 36‑point performance from Hylton Heinz. The Tigers controlled the pace throughout the game and relied heavily on Heinz, who scored all but nine of Huron’s points.
Spearfish struggled to find consistent offense after a series of strong outings earlier in the week. Adelyn Bouman led the Spartans with 10 points, but the team was unable to overcome Huron’s defensive pressure or match Heinz’s scoring output.
Huron maintained control in the second half, responding to each Spearfish run with timely baskets. The win moved the Tigers to 7–7 on the season, while Spearfish dropped to 7–5.
The Tigers wil head to Sturgis on Saturday to take on the Lady Scoopers. Meanwhile, the Spartans will host Mitchell, with tipoff slated for Saturday at 2:00 pm.
